5 Effective Slimming Techniques From Skinny Women

When you don’t know what you’re doing, losing weight can be very difficult. You are eating healthy foods, you have started exercising but you’re not seeing any results? Luckily, there are fit girls who have tried many techniques on themselves until they’ve reached their goals, and now they are sharing their knowledge with people worldwide helping them lose weight and get into shape. It doesn’t have to be that hard, you just have to put in some effort and know the right way to achieve what you want.

1. Don’t think of being on a diet, think of it as a life change

Many people try to lose weight and go on crash diets, which only lead them to frustration and overeating on foods they missed during the diet once they think they’ve lost enough weight.  Becoming fit involves constant effort, if you intend to stay slim, and you can’t just go back to your old ways after you’ve lost the excess weight. You need to maintain it. Once you stop thinking of the way you eat as a diet and embrace it as normal nutrition and your new way of life, it will be easier to handle it and it won’t lead to frustration. That is why you need to find a nutrition plan that you see as sustainable and can handle in the long run. Emily Skye, a published fitness model (Daily Mail Australia, Oxygen, Women’s Health, Hello!, etc) suggests eating lean proteins such as eggs, grass fed beef, tuna fish, yogurt with no added sugar, healthy carbohydrates such as sweet potato, brown, black or basmati rice, oats, quinoa and amaranth, and healthy fats contained in avocado, flaxseed oil, nuts, extra virgin olive oil, etc. Of course, there are many other options but the secret is in eating whole, healthy foods instead of choosing sugary and fatty junk foods.

2. Don’t skip meals

You should never skip breakfast. This is what all the health experts, all the people who have lost weight and all the people working in the fitness industry (including Nina Silic, Emily Skye, Jane Fonda, Vlatka Dragic, Jillian Michaels, and many other fitness experts) can’t stress enough. Jane Fonda also suggests not ever going grocery shopping when you’re hungry because then you’re probably going to buy whatever you feel like eating then, and those will usually be fattening comfort foods and in large quantities. So Fonda recommends always having at least a quick bite before going to the supermarket.

3. Make 80 percent of your food healthy, and make the rest fun

Jillian Michaels, a published fitness model and fitness instructor who you probably well know from “The Biggest Loser” show recommends making sure that 80 percent of your daily calories are healthy, and let 20% fun. Of course, that is if you are taking care of your caloric intake through the day. You shouldn’t go below or above or your recommended range of calories during the day. Jillian advises this because this way you don’t feel as if you were on a diet and you’re not deprived. You are paying attention to what you’re eating, and letting yourself enjoy a little each day, with a piece of dark chocolate, or something else your heart desires.

4. Get enough sleep

Sleep deprivation won’t help you in your weight loss process. In fact, it can even cause you to gain weight, as your body needs energy that it didn’t get through sleeping, so it creates cravings which are very difficult to control. This often leads to overeating on unhealthy foods as your body asks for high caloric foods to replenish the energy sources. Many medical experts are advising you to get at least seven hours of sleep per night, and so do many fitness models, including Vlatka Dragic, Jane Fonda, and Jillian Michaels. Sleeping enough will give you enough energy during the day, so you won’t have to seek for extra energy in junk food and you will be able to stick to healthy eating which will consequently lead to weight loss.

5. Exercise

Regular exercise improves your metabolism and helps you burn the excess fat from your body more quickly than it can fall off with just proper nutrition. Also, you can’t have a well defined body if you don’t do at least some exercises, and who doesn’t like a lifted but or nice abs? You can’t say that girls who exercise are not good-looking.
